As all of us know, life comes with many expenses – paying off a mortgage, buying groceries, paying for our children’s education, and every other small expense in between. For that reason, many of us try to find new ways to make extra money. Although some people may get a second job, other people turn to selling sports cards for a profit. The best way to make money is with long-term investments with valuable cards, but if you’re looking for fast cash, here are some of the methods that you can use for flipping sports cards.
Buy Underpriced Cards & Sell Them for More
If you find a card that’s below market value, you can purchase it and try to sell it for more. Although it’s not every day that you’ll find a card and be able to flip it instantly for more money, it can happen. You can also purchase cards that have players that you think will rise in popularity. Some of the ways to predict this include: a change of role, new teammates, a new coach, or even just suspecting that the player or team will start doing better.
Buy Ungraded Cards & Get Them Graded
This will only work if the card is in demand and in great condition. If the card is only worth $15, for example, it probably won’t be worth investing the money to get the card graded. On the other hand, collectors will be more likely to spend more money on cards that they know are authentic and in great condition. This can be a great investment for valuable cards.
Buy Boxes & Flip Individual Cards
This is similar to the first strategy. All you must do is buy underpriced boxes of cards, crack them open and pick out the valuable cards. If you’re successful, you may obtain cards well in excess of the purchase price of the box. Do your research and find out which boxes are worth opening and flipping the single cards.
