All of this is true, but there’s also another side of trading cards that includes politicians, animals, and actors. Non-sports cards also have cards based on television series and movies. These cards often relate to the story of the show or movie in both picture and editorial form. Star Wars
There’s a huge market for Star Wars merchandise, which includes trading cards. In fact, between 1977 and 1978, Topps released 5 different series of Star Wars cards. Although they may be vintage, these cards are known for being off-centered, blurry, and with no autographs. That’s why many of the modern Star Wars cards are more sought after. For instance, the 2007 Topps Star Wars 30th Anniversary Set is considered one of the best Star Wars sets of all time.
Batman
Trading cards are one of the most popular merchandise that Batman has. These cards are great for every type of collector, as there are sets, singles, high-end, and affordable cards. The newer cards have autographs, memorabilia, and sketch cards that have original content drawn directly on them.
Lord of the Rings
Between 2001 and 2004, Topps produced several sets of Lord of the Rings trading cards. Of the ten total sets, 6 of them come with actor and crew autographs. Most of these cards have a themed design, where the autograph is placed in the middle of the ring.
