N162 Goodwin Champions Baseball Cards
In 1888, Goodwin & Company produced a multi-sport masterpiece with their N162 Goodwin Champions release.
Featuring brilliant colors and stunning artwork, the set portrays fifty sports stars including eight baseball subjects.
Of the eight, Cap Anson, Dan Brothers, Tim Keefe and King Kelly are members of baseball’s Hall of Fame.
Goodwin Champions cards were available in packs of Old Judge and Gypsy Queen cigarettes and really capture the essence of a bygone era. Along with the cards, Goodwin also inserted coupons into the cigarette packs which were redeemable for albums to house these 19th century gems.
